Holiday Party

This year, just like last year, my family hosted a holiday party for our friends from home who come to Park City for vacation as well as the many friends we now have here. In addition to the food, I made a winter champagne punch, which included grapefruit juice and ginger juice, from 101 cookbooks. All of the food was great, and we had the perfect amount which is not an easy thing to estimate! Happy Holidays!

Raspberry Macarons

Today I decided to experiment with making French macarons. I used a Martha Stewart recipe for raspberry macarons, and then made a chocolate raspberry ganache to fill them with. Although they don't look as perfect as they're supposed to, they still tasted great and I am excited to continue experimenting!

Penne with Spicy Lamb Sauce and Sand Tarts

Although finals are approaching quickly, I have had a lot of free time the past few days. I made an easy but delicious recipe from one of my favorite sites Food52, and a simple salad to go with it. Later in the night I was craving something sweet, so I made my family's sand tart recipe that I posted about before.
