Just Dessert

Wow, I can't believe it's already December! I love all the holiday spirit and decorations! Unfortunately, being in a dorm room I can't decorate that much :( I can't wait for winter break so that I can have real decorations and get a christmas tree and start baking wintery and festive things! The other reason that I love December/Winter is the snow! But for some reason, it has only snowed ONE day so far... in Wisconsin... When I decided to come here everyone warned me about the cold and the snow... So where is it?
Anyways, even though it wasn't snowing, my evening felt pretty festive! Richard and I went to Graze and it was pretty cold outside and there were lots of wreaths and christmas trees all around the capitol building.
We forgot to take pictures of dinner, but we remembered for dessert, and that's the best part anyways right?

Home

Before thanksgiving, I didn't cook anything because I didn't want to make the kitchen a mess before our huge feast, but as soon as I woke up Friday morning I made these Cranberry Harvest Muffin!

Then, I was feeling like being festive so I made these adorable "Secret Sugar Cookies".

And on Saturday night I made dinner for me and my mom :)

Sunday Breakfast, Again

Only two more days until I get to go home! I can't wait. And I can't wait to finally share my own cooking with everyone!
But until then I'll have to keep sharing my weekend breakfasts that I look forward to all week. This morning it was Marigold, again.

Yogurt with Fresh Fruit, Walnuts, Pecans, and Lavender Honey

Simple, but delicious! Combined with a beautiful walk to and from the capitol, it was a great morning.

Harvest Dinner

If you just look at the posts I have made so far, you would think that this blog is just about restaurants, but it is actually the opposite. I really want this blog to mostly be about my own cooking, but being in a dorm doesn't really give me the opportunity to do that. But next week I will be going home for thanksgiving, which means lots of cooking and cookings posts!

Today Richard and I went to Harvest for dinner. It was wonderful, once again.
