Home

Before thanksgiving, I didn't cook anything because I didn't want to make the kitchen a mess before our huge feast, but as soon as I woke up Friday morning I made these Cranberry Harvest Muffin!

Then, I was feeling like being festive so I made these adorable "Secret Sugar Cookies".

And on Saturday night I made dinner for me and my mom :)

Sunday Breakfast, Again

Only two more days until I get to go home! I can't wait. And I can't wait to finally share my own cooking with everyone!
But until then I'll have to keep sharing my weekend breakfasts that I look forward to all week. This morning it was Marigold, again.

Yogurt with Fresh Fruit, Walnuts, Pecans, and Lavender Honey

Simple, but delicious! Combined with a beautiful walk to and from the capitol, it was a great morning.

Harvest Dinner

If you just look at the posts I have made so far, you would think that this blog is just about restaurants, but it is actually the opposite. I really want this blog to mostly be about my own cooking, but being in a dorm doesn't really give me the opportunity to do that. But next week I will be going home for thanksgiving, which means lots of cooking and cookings posts!

Today Richard and I went to Harvest for dinner. It was wonderful, once again.

Another Yummy Brunch

On Saturday morning it was time for another great brunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Madison, Graze!

Fried Chicken and Waffles with Spiced Butter

Organic Egg Scrambler with Spicy Sausage, Spinach, Garlic and Asiago Cheese, Hash Browns and Field Greens Salad

Dorm Room Cooking

Living in a dorm doesn't give you very many options for cooking your own meals, so I usually don't. But on Friday night Richard and I really wanted something tasty, so this is what we came up with. (It is Richard's creation, by the way, inspired by our trip to Italy this summer!)

Rosemary Olive Oil Focaccia with Pesto, Prosciutto, Tomato, and Mozarella

Ocean Grill

Tonight Richard and I had a lot of free time so we went to Ocean Grill, a really good seafood restaurant by the capitol.
I don't have a picture of it, but with the bread they served pumpkin spiced butter! It was delicious.

Fresh Lobster with Drawn Butter and Seasonal Vegetables

Weekend Dinner

On Friday and Saturday night my family and I went to two great restaurants, Harvest and 43 North. Unfortunately, my pictures from Harvest didn't turn out very well, but here are some decent ones from 43 North.
